Maine Seabird Biology and Conservation
May 30 to June 4 — Take an active part in helping to restore Maine seabirds by joining pioneering researcher, Dr. Stephen Kress, and other Project Puffin biologists with National Audubon Society's internationally renowned Seabird Restoration Program. Work alongside Audubon biologists in a variety of conservation projects while enjoying the rare opportunity to land on seabird islands that are otherwise off-limits to all but researchers. Participate in discussions on seabird identification, bird banding, adaptations, migration, ecology and conservation led by Audubon staff. In this spring session, you will conduct censuses of Herring and Great Black-backed Gulls and Common Eiders.
